tHIS MACHINE KILLS ARCHONS
“Put on the full armour of God…for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the archons, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness…”
This Machine Kills Archons is the moniker of singer/songwriter R.P. Warrington. The band explores themes of freedom, authenticity, and resistance.
The sound has been described as:
“Bolanesque”
“rock ‘n’ roll road music”
“crooning Beatlesy”
“Ignorant men raise questions that wise men answered a thousand years ago.”
Joined by a rotating cast of acclaimed collaborators, This Machine Kills Archons has released three critically received EPs showcasing a unique blend of retro flair and modern insight.
The songs on the new fourth EP ‘Day Revelation’ explore the content of a speech given by Dr Richard Day in March 1969 at a meeting in Pittsville Pennsylvania. The notes from the Day speech were put into a book called The New Order of Barbarians – warning of a future godless and controlled society where nothing is permanent anymore.
